Church of the Holy Faith Parish Library
Notice Concerning Reassignment of the Scheffler Library Fund:
In her will, Caroline R. Scheffler left a gift to the Holy Faith library, without further restriction. That gift was assigned to a parish endowment fund that does not allow use of the gift for operating expenses of the library. Upon request of the Library Committee, the Holy Faith Vestry now wishes to transfer that gift to a parish endowment fund that does allow use of the gift for operating expenses. The parish bylaws require that any such transfer be approved by a court order.
The Holy Faith Vestry has therefore asked the Santa Fe District Court for permission to transfer the Scheffler Library Fund from the original endowment fund to the endowment fund that allows use of the funds for operating expenses. The petition to the court, together with a notice of hearing, can be viewed near the church entrance and can be viewed online below. Interested church members may appear at the hearing at the time noted. Any questions may always be directed to Fr. Robin or any member of the Vestry.
